Helping ICTSI Foundation T.E.A.C.H.

“Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts affect the fate of the earth.” ~Helen Caldicott~

Colayco Foundation for Education, (CFE) supported International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) Foundation’s endeavor to (T.E.A.C.H) Teacher Empowerment and Capability-Honing Program.

Five (5) successful seminar runs of PISOBILITIES were given to teachers of Rosauro Almario Elementary School (R.A.E.S.) and Tondo High School last April 12, while last April 18, Day Care Teachers from Manila Department of Social Welfare District Office and the last sessions were given last June 1, 2012 for the teachers of Rajah Soliman Science and Technology High School and Dr. Juan G. Nolasco High School.

According to the teachers, all the topics were beneficial. They appreciated the value of planning their finances, saving what they can and making their money grow the best possible way they. Through this seminar sponsored by ICTSI Foundation, the Public School Teachers were inspired to take control of their personal finances; were enlightened to avoid getting into debts or pawning thier ATMs; were provided with alternatives on what to do with their hard‐earned money other than spending and were empowered to create a worry-free financial environment for themselves.

ICTSI Foundation is committed to helping people who are influential in the lives of the young people. They believe that other than helping the youth themselves it is equally important to whet and empower the people surrounding these young people. As such, they educate the parents as well as the teachers who benefited from the Financial Literacy Seminar by Colayco Foundation for Education (CFE.)

To ICTSI Foundation, thank you very much for helping us help more! May you continue and never get tired of making a difference to the lives of these people! More power!
